The flow then enters a series of settling chambers for solids to settle out. The main flow is split between the 4 horizontal slow wetland beds and then recombined with the treated storm water and discharged to Gander River. The sludge is pumped to sludge treatment wetland cells where it is mineralized and can be reused for landscaping.
